PhD Opportunity in Geochemistry | Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi

I am recruiting a PhD student to join the Corpus Christi Carbonates research group at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, starting in Fall 2027.

Our research focuses on carbonate diagenesis, dolomitization, and fluid–rock interactions. We use elemental and isotope geochemistry to investigate how seawater chemistry has evolved through Earth history and how the geochemical composition of carbonate rocks is modified during burial in sedimentary basins.

I am particularly interested in applicants with prior experience in elemental and isotope geochemistry, a strong interest in laboratory-based geological research, and an enthusiasm for using geochemical data to address geological questions. Experience with trace elements, stable or radiogenic isotopes, carbonate rocks, or experimental geochemistry would be particularly relevant.  Learn more about our research: https://mccormickcarbonates.com/

PhD position in U-Th geochronology, carbonate geochemistry, and Quaternary sea-level change at the University of Florida 

A funded PhD position is available in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida with Dr. Oana Dumitru. 
The student will contribute to an NSF-funded project, Collaborative Research: Deciphering MIS 5e Sea-Level Changes Using U-Th-Dated Fossil Corals and Cave Deposits from the Yucatán Peninsula. 
Applicants should have interests in U-Th geochronology, carbonate geochemistry, sedimentology, Quaternary geology, paleoclimate, or sea-level change. 
Previous field or laboratory experience is desirable but not required; 
students with strong backgrounds in related areas and enthusiasm for developing isotope-geochemistry expertise are encouraged to apply.

Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Geology - Caltech

The Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at the California Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in Geology,
