SEPM Carbonate Research Group Meeting at IMAGE'24
The Hot topic debate will be focusing on the Dolomite Problem. Beginning with 30 minutes of presentations on the topic, before a panel of speakers get to speak with the audience. After this there will be a happy hour with informal discussions and student posters available for viewing.
SPEAKERS
Dr. Maxwell Pommer (Premier Corex), Dr. Cole McCormick (Penn State), and Dr. Juan Carlos Laya (Texas A&M) will define the Dolomite Problem and discuss microbial influences, hydrothermal dolomitization, and Neogene dolomites.
STUDENTS
After the main presentations and discussion, students will have the opportunity to present their poster during the happy hour.
